Click here for a general description of online payments including applicable transaction fees. This help article describes the specific details of how online payments works.
To enable online payments you must enable this facility in the following two places:
1) Go to Settings > My Settings > Payments. Tick the Online Payments (OLP) box, then click the Save button.
2) Go to Settings > Property Settings > Edit Property Preferences. Tick the Online Payments (OLP) box, then click the Save button.
Once you have online payments enabled it will be available as a payment option for all of your guests. Once a booking is ready to accept payment you can refer your guests to log into Bookabach to make their payment. We automatically include a “Make a payment” footer at the bottom of any email response you provide through Bookabach if there is a payment due.
We’ll let you know when a payment has been received and automatically record the payments against the booking. You do not need to manually enter the payment details yourself.
Remember that we don’t keep credit card details on file or chase payments on your behalf, so you’ll need to remind people to pay on or around the due dates of each payment.
You can view your funds held in our Commercial Trust by going to Payments > Trust Account. If funds are locked, click the question mark symbol to show the reason for this.
Funds are available to you after the stay has Completed. Provided you have a bank account set up and validated (and assigned to the property) we’ll automatically process the drawdown and pay out to this account. Please allow up to two working days after your guest checks out for payment to appear in your account.
Note: If you are a recent Bookabach member and are using online payments for the first time, then drawdown may be locked until you have been a member for more than 30 days and/or your first renter has posted feedback. If a payment has been locked for more than a week after the renter’s departure date, please put in a support request and we’ll contact the renter to speed things up.
If for some reason we can’t disburse funds to you, we’ll alert you by email.
You can disable online payments for a specific property (if you manage several) or for a specific booking.
To disable on a property: Go to Settings > Property Settings > Edit Property Preferences. Untick the Online Payments (OLP) box and click the “Save” button.
To disable on a specific booking: Open the booking and untick the “Accept credit cards on this booking” box.
To disable online payments completely: Go to Settings > My Settings > Edit Payments. Untick the Online Payments (OLP) box and click the “Save” button.
